- Format and category. Glacier's window film runs 20-, 36-, 40-, 60- and 72-inch rolls; automotive cutting lives in the narrow widths, while commercial glazing is where the 60- and 72-inch rolls earn their place. The line is different too. Solar-control flat glass and security film are separate from automotive tint, and safety film is code-rated for fall protection and judged on glass retention, not on heat numbers.
- PPF reads like a show-car product to us. Does the front-end case look different on a work vehicle in this metro?
- Geography and season. I-44 ends downtown, I-55, I-64 and I-70 cross the Mississippi here, and I-270 arcs across the north and west of the metro. Freezing winters put wet pavement under those lanes, and the surfaces catching that spray are the lowest and most forward ones on a vehicle: front clips, rockers, headlamps, mirror caps.
