Two rivers set the shape of this metro. The Willamette runs north through the middle and empties into the Columbia at the top end, in a valley pinned between the Coast Range and the Cascades. West of the river the metro climbs into Washington County. Damp, cold glass holds moisture longer, so build in extra dwell time before release and keep the bay warm with air moving. Summer flips it — dry and bright, with low-angle light in the shoulder months, which is glare and UV work as much as heat. Nano-ceramic covers both ends.
